  • Semantic categorisation of 269 nouns (animals, body parts, clothing etc) and adjectives/descriptors (e.g. things that fly)
  • 3 levels (easy, medium & hard). The easy level contains concrete categories, the medium level contains sub-categories, the hard level contains abstract categories
  • 4 sets of exercise: Find, Classify, Exclude & Add one (i.e. find another item to fit the category)
  • 10-50+ items can be selected per exercise
  • The targets can be presented as pictures only, words only or words & pictures. Audio cues are provided

Comments:

  • The online subscription allows access to all the modules available so as the user progresses they don’t need to purchase new modules. It feels like an app when downloaded on an ipad
  • The CD version has more functions than the internet version
  • A download version exists for $19.95 per program but works only on Windows, not mac  
  • Some of the expressions are very American
